The wheat fields on our road look like this:

They've been like that for some time. Is the wheat lying down lost, or can the farmer still harvest it? Anyone know?

Not sure, but I doubt it is salvageable.

I saw patches like that back when it was green and before the heads formed. I think some of it was wind/rain, but deer bedding down in it is certainly a possibility too. The downed areas spread as time went on.

Spent morning and afternoon grocery shopping then home put it all away put meat in portions get them in the freezer potty dogs clean coops, feed dogs .. Wow done for bit.
We did Nacho's restaurant BH does not want me cooking after shopping he thinks I need the break I don't argue tonight.

I just got off the phone with NYSEG. A crew came out sometime last night to assess the situation I called in about the trees down on the line. They need to figure out how they are going to access the area. It's all on private property and there's not a lot of space back there. But a crew was assigned the job and they'll get to it when they get to it I guess.
The recording when I called in on the outage line this morning stated that they intended to have power restored to everybody by the end of the day. Somehow, I doubt that.

That might be fun except my bonfire pit was also squashed by the tree. I'm just frustrated in pouty!
