She started her molt last night. I thought she exploded there were so many feathers on the poop boards

Clear, cool night...slept like a rock.... with blankets.
Heavy dew, enough to drip off eaves in back.
Nice and calm morning after all the drama and crisis the beginning of the week held.
Sure is nice to have socks, sweats, and sleeves on ....
.....and enjoy the sun streaming thru the windows.

Remaining cockerel seems to be doing OK.
I hear a few forays with the pullets, but it's not extreme.
They all are hanging with the flock pretty well too,
not sure if Willie has had to dispense any schooling or not.
Haven't come up with a name yet, maybe that means he won't be staying.

Broody's 3rd day in crate, she was ticking yesterday but think I'll let her out this evening.
Wondered why my back and legs were so sore this morning,
until I bent under the board to tend to her...UHG!

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee, I need it. It was a hot, intense, sunlit day yesterday and now there is a flash flood watch posted. Thanks for the sweet update on the owls, LF!
I am having trouble realizing that August is right around the corner...
