I got the apron done around the run extension. Whee. My hands are tired from unrolling hardware cloth. Man, the inner end of the roll is tight!

I also dug out a 2x3' area in front of the door to the run and put pavers there, about 2" below grade. Now there's a place for some snow to fall, but not block the door. And the pavers give me a solid surface to shovel against when I need to shovel the snow out of the way.

The run extension gave the littles and the adults both a lot more room. I think Lark, my bottom hen who pecks the littles through the fence, is getting a bit more used to the idea of them being there. One of the littles was sunbathing next to the fence and Lark left it alone. I'm not ready to take down the fence between the two yet, but it's progress.
It is nice to get stuff finished!

someone dumped a pregnant cat on our farm. Didn't need any cats! Found mother dead. Gathered up kittens and tried to take them to rescues--- some wanted to charge me $50 each for bringing them! I told them they weren't mine, and I shouldn't have to PAY for being humane. Finally travelled to Dutchess county to their shelter---gave them a donation . Now I know why people dump animals around here
Years ago there was a feral cat in our neighbor hood that we trapped. When we took him to animal control, they did not believe that it was feral and not our cat.

The DW hung around as they went to euthanize the cat. It took three men with gloves and one of them was bitten through the glove!

After that, they believed he was not ours LOL!

Looking at the one @aart posted as her dog the body all including the top knot are half again as long not very long but still looks like a poodle also just my preference
I did sometimes leave topknot apparent tho still rather short(except that one time it looked like an alpaca)...and ears longer too.
I did all kinds of weird stuff with his hair,
just to break the monotony of grooming and for some chuckles.

@DobieLover how'd the bandage chewer do today?

Last night's bandage.

Nothing on it. He was also unsupervised for at least 2 hours today as Nan and DH both had appointments.
I think I popped him 4 times total yesterday. He has got to think that if he touches that bandage in this house the collar gets him. He's obviously had the collar on the entire time. I'll turn it off now.

Excellent!
So glad the pops worked.
