BYC Café

Had white out snow here last evening, was pretty.
Grounds covered but rain, and the still warm ground, will take care of that quickly.
We have fog in the morning and then sun and a high of 70F

I have progressives. The distance prescription is good. Mid and close aren't worth it. My near-sightedness isn't too bad. I'm not comfortable driving without them, but I usually don't wear them in the house. I don't wear them to read or on the computer because they hinder rather than help. And, yes I said something when I got them, and they checked everything, and said, nope, it's fine! Wear them for a while and your eyes will get used to them! :duc

When I read my Kindle in bed, I lie on my side and prop it up against DH's pillow. It's about 12-14" away. At that distance, I see well with my left eye, but the right one is blurry.
I just got new glasses and these work much better than the last pair. The pre setup person did a thorough job this time

DH and I are about due for eye exams and new lenses, probably. I think we'll go to a different place this time around.

I really did give it the ol' college try after they verified their prescription, but close up middle distance just was never better than no glasses, and the muscles around my eyes got tired.

When I designed plastic injection molds, I got a pair of computer glasses. At the eye exam, the doc showed me what that prescription change could do, and I was sold on the spot.
