Do you have an estimate how much liquid? I don't have anything like that pitcher, but I have a bulb syringe that probably holds 2-3 tablespoons, or 60-90 ml.

Yes, the liquid HAS to be warm. Putting cold water into the ear canal is VERY painful.

I fill the ear up completely and then massage to soften the debris. And then repeat if necessary.

Using a syringe might (even involuntarily)put too much pressure on the ear, so I would not use it for this purpose.

Bulb syringe should work, not much different than the squeeze bottle I used for a commercial cleanser. Just don't stick the nozzle down inside and don't squeeze to hard/fast.

Both had their ears down, ie, uncropped. That may have made a difference.

Did you have their thyroid levels checked?

The ears seem to still be bothering her, despite cleaning and drop twice a day

Have her ears been swabbed and checked under the scope to look for fungus? That won't respond to antibiotic drops.

I'm not sure if we did. We may have; the vet with them was very good and thorough. Sure do miss that guy!

Freya went back in for a recheck, and the vet says it's a yeast infection now. So we're still doing the cleaning, drops (miconazole nitrate 1%) and adding Apoquel.
