BYC Café

Sunny and in the 40's is great for January Margie, it's the same here.
Lucky you and @Mtn Margie. We have a wind advisory in effect. It's 18 out now and going down to 2F tonight.

GOOD MORNING Cafe!!!! Thanks for the coffee NFC. I will be able to relax and enjoy it this morning instead of using it as a tool.

Skittles has definitely turned the corner! He was very alert this morning and tried to jump out of bed on his own.
Normal morning routine: I let them out to the deck through our bedroom door then I go make their breakfast while they relieve themselves and let them in through the sliding glass doors. So they always blast in knowing breakfast awaits them.
This morning, not only was Skittles trotting at nearly his normal gait, he did the jump-and-spin happy dance because he was getting fed! :love I've never been so happy to see that.
He still had some incontinence last night but it wasn't the nasty bloody mucous. It looks like very dark brown (bright yellow when you wipe it up) bilious material that is more solid than not. It's probably what was in his GI system when he started vomiting on Friday. Everything was caught on the pad.

Oh, such happy news! Gosh, he's just the cutest :love So weird though, isn't it? I wonder what brought it all on...

Good morning Cafe, the coffee is ready!

@Meg-in-MT that is a glorious beard :D
Her and her "twin" roost together. I was trying to get a picture of both of them. The other one always zings off the roost when I open the door, as if to say "What have you got for me today??" Ha. I'll catch them one of these days!

Loss of Willie is hitting me way harder than any of the others over the years.
Might be the beginning of the end.
I've been a bit ambivalent of keeping/growing a flock this last year or so.
Who knows what the future might hold.
Meanwhile it will be interesting to have an all female flock for the time being,
never had that before.
Sigh.

I wish I knew.
He is having more serious incontinence issues than I first thought. I hope when he fully recovers it will stop. It's both bowel and urinary. I need to order a diaper for him.

I understand where you're coming from @aart. DH and I were having this conversation a couple weeks ago. With my birds being 5.5 yrs old, when they pass, I'm not sure if I'll continue with more or not.

It's a big decision.
