BYC Café

@LaFleche , here is the link to the recipe for marshmallows. They are the first ones I've tried and they turned out lovely! Like a little pillowy, dreamy, creamy gem. Will have to try roasting them and see how they hold up. I'm guessing they'll be pretty awesome. My daughter in law is a s'mores lover and her birthday is coming up, so I'll have to get creative!

Let me know if there's any issue, and I'll type it out.
Thank you for the recipe @Meg-in-MT ! I'll let you know how they turned out. :drool

Well, Lowes was disappointing. They have so much more stuff online that isn't in the store. But we can always use wood glue and screws, so I got those instead. $50 is $50, right?
Could you not use it online to get something you wanted instead of something you MIGHT need (if you can find it when the time comes)?

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Going to try to get some carpet fitted in the hallway later. It's not my favourite DIY task. I've been putting it off for ages.
Damp mornings and some sun in the afternoon has been the weather pattern here for the last two or three days. More of the same today apparently.

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee.

We've frozen again. The chickens had a glorious day yesterday and spent the majority of it outside scratching all over the pen. They are out now but will have some trouble scratching the frozen ground.

Will you thaw out today, Tonya?
No. We're going colder for a while. Staying right around freezing for the high and dipping into teens at night. Sunday night is hopefully the last night in single digits.

The problem with buying stuff online is twofold. Shipping to the house is iffy when the roads are so bad. Shipping to the store means another trip to the store.

I really like seeing and touching the stuff. I had thoughts of another cast iron pan. I'd want to hold it, to feel how heavy it is. I had thoughts of a warm hoody; I have to try clothes on to see how they fit my wide shoulders/long arms. I can order a size larger, but have gotten stuff that looks like I'm lost in there. (Someone said, "That sweatshirt looks like it ate you for lunch, and it's still hungry!")

We surely will use screws and wood glue. That is never a problem. If DH had been with me, he could have picked out a tool or accessory, but I don't know what he wants/needs. That I can then use too. :) I'll get plenty of use out of the screws and wood glue.
