Good morning Cafe I woke about 8:30. Chilie made early for tonight.

Hey all missed the Easter hatch along. So Microchick and I are having out own hatch along join if your able.

You missed ducks, but chicken eggs do not set until March 26th.

Cots are even later of course.

Had a bird in a nest the last 2 nights, but not the following mornings.
But she was in there mid afternoon today, so I set up the crate.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Yesterday when I was adding more straw to the nest boxes very near roost time and everyone was in the coop, I watched Ace try to mount Torvi (without asking) and she shook him off and proceeded to open up a can of whoopass on him. This is the fifth hen I've seen whoop on him and I'm not exactly out there all day.
No wonder his isn't as obnoxious as other cockerels I've had. He's getting tossed all over by these girls!

DH got a fantastic "score" at work. One of their clients was throwing out 10' posts. 25 heavy duty, -\_/- shaped posts. They are going to be holding up fence to protect my garden soon. I have a post pounder, gonna need a ladder to reach the top!
