BYC Café

I had to clean a poopy bum last night. Lark's eggs have had streaks of poop on them, so she got a soak and a trim. It would have been easier with another person helping, but DH is on vacation. I took advantage of Freya being gone with him; she would have been vocal and that would have made Lark even more skittish during the procedure.

Turning off nearly all the lights and working by the light of a red headlamp helped keep her calm, and when she got agitated, I covered her head with a dark cloth. I was surprised that she seemed to enjoy the sensation of the hair drier at the end. I thought she'd freak at the sound.
Sometimes streaks on the egg are a sign of mites.

I'd never heard of that, so I looked it up. It actually sounds pretty good. Have you ever had it?
Yes, weird stuff....kinda tastes like cheesecake, if covered with jam and you use some imagination. Canadians eat it with maple syrup.
I don't really care for it.

Just spotted a ground hog in the back field, when I yelled at it something else dove into the old ground hog hole in the garden. BatRastards!!!!
