Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee DL.
Lateral flow test positive so I guess I'm stuck with the cough and low energy levels for a few weeks.
I'm still mobile though and went to the allotments yesterday and plan to go again today.
Weather is on the grey and chilly side for the season. I still need my submariners roll neck when out in the late afternoon and evening.

Chiropractor
Get grounds at Starbucks
Set up broody cage
Soak up as much sunshine as I can

Found an egg in the broody crate this morning.
Never had that happen before.
So after 50 hours in crate I let her out, even tho she's still kinda of ticking.
Time will tell.

Cold out there, cold enough to turn water heater on.
One more night like that.

Happened to me once.
And the current mini turkey laid an egg yesterday.
She's not locked up yet.

Found an egg in the broody crate this morning.

I think my broody is still laying. There's been an egg in the nest she's commandeered every day, and I'm 90% sure they are hers. She is easily my most consistent layer! I'd have to go a long way back to find a day she skipped.

When she was out this morning for food and water, she kept saying, "Bup. Bup. Bup. Bup." I interpreted that as broody chicken speak for, "Nest. Nest. Nest. Nest."

I've had it happen, in fact most recently just a week or so back. I don't let them out until they talk nice to me, none of that broody chatter. The one time I said "egg, ok you must be done" she was back in the buster within 10 minutes after I hauled her screaming self out of a nest box.

Yeah, I'm not convinced she's done, but one can hope.

Good Morning! Coffee was good today!

Evening! Snow showers on Friday for us but we were down on the plains today and I bought some tomato and pepper plants to put in the greenhouse when it is safe to do so.
If I wait too long, everything is gone for planting time up here.
