Just got back from the vet's. Maggie got her kennel cough and canine influenza boosters and had blood drawn for a level check on the Phenobarbital that she is on.

I've got DH at the walk-in clinic. The day aide called to say that he woke up with lower back pain and he's certainly having trouble getting up and walking.

I hope it turns out to be mild and something rest will cure.

Pulled muscle.
The pain was enough to cause his BP to go up to 140/80.
X-ray showed some degeneration but I already knew about that from his bone scan.
The Dr prescribed steroids. We're getting lunch while we wait for the prescription to be filled.

Very common for pain to raise BP.

I got a lot done today. I hope I can do as well tomorrow.

I really need to hoe down the weeds in the heavy soil garden. But it needs some rain first, or it'll be like pounding on cement, the ground is so dry up there. They say maybe tomorrow night....

There was one potato plant that was in between two rows, a volunteer from a few missed potatoes last year. I dug it up, got about a dozen tiny to small taters. First ones out of the garden. Air fried them, snipped some dill over, and they were great.

I did tri tip steaks and a potato salald .. Real simple but filling.
