That might work in some places but not here! Sacramento is predicted to have triple digit days 30% of the year in another 30 years.

People die here, like they did in Seattle Washington last summer, without AC. We open cooling centers for those without it each summer.

A builder from the SF Bay area build houses in Davis CA with passive cooling in the 1970s. The owners had to retrofit AC into the houses since the cooling did nor work.

A friend of mine returned from Kurdistan last summer. I asked how he got on with the heat. He said the worst day was 48C. His family don't have air con.

Good morning Cafe.. Whe have air in the living room and the office a great ceiling fan in the living room ..
We have like 68 in the house on the hotest days that way.

Is the house underground? or built into a mountain.

There could be some type of ground cooling or water cooling used.

Most places, it is not feasible for that type of cooling.

I too hope that some type of tech can come about to cool in a more energy efficient way!

I do suspect that people living in parts of the world with limited resources do suffer in the heat and many die from it each year.

Ok, quick poll: Which have you had, progressives, or bifocals, or both? Did you prefer one over the other?

I had bifocals - ONCE. I hated them. Go out to the garden and work on things, shift your eyes down just a smidge and BOOM everything is totally unclear. With progressives things get just a bit fuzzy and you learn to tilt your head a little bit without thinking about it.

I have bifocals - no issues. A bit of confusion the first time I used 'the facilities'.

I saw one. Wobbly and still damp. And pure! No Fabio feet on her. Hopefully the other is on its way.

Watching many flock members come over to the maternity ward to look in last night when they heard the peepers is great too.

Fabio was an extra big butthead to me this morning. He always is when chicks arrive.
