My contractor, Joe, talked to an experienced roofer that he knows and he said he'd help with the roof for $20/hr. I told Joe to tell him he's hired. I think we'll have the seasonal room buttoned up by Monday.

I can tell you that foisting that tree on my shoulder off the coop... it did NOT feel light!

It isn't when it is green. Pretty darn light when it is ready for the wood stove though.

$20/hr?? That wouldn't even get the apprentice's apprentice's apprentice here. Heck, DD2 is now working at a state park for $17/hr. Totally an unskilled job (which as with all her previous jobs doesn't take advantage of her intelligence or BA degrees)
