BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Had some real good rain last night and more expected today.
I bought a used loveseat for DHs apartment but can't pick it up until the rain stops.
I want to get it here so I can shampoo it and the chairs we got a few times and let them dry before taking them to the apartment.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
DS$ just called, they are heading out for breakfast after doing a 5 mile hill run at 6 AM.
He was second behind a kid that does marathons... LOL! That was after doing buddy-carrys up the stadium stairs yesterday. Oh my, a different kind of life out there!
He is loving it!

I added a link to my first reply after going out to do a bit of research.
I had used milk thistle and some other supplements to treat Dylan in conjunction with his prescriptions to help with his DCM. He had a worse disease though and he died 6 months after diagnosis.
Did you squeeze your own milk thistle?

One morning when I was out with the dogs I ran into the woman that owns Coco, one of Bella's favorite playmates. She was carrying a bunch of milkweed. I asked her what she was doing and she said she's been raising monarchs all summer long! I was immediately interested and she showed me what to look for and took me up to the house to show me her setup. I left that day with four caterpillars of my own. On the journey home one must have fallen off the milkweed so I only had three when I more closely examined the milkweed the following day.
Here are those three:

After I cleaned out their habitat I noticed this little guy must have hatched off of one of the fresh milkweed stems I brought in. It will probably still be a caterpillar when I get back from vacation.

I never knew there was another creature that could rival a chicken for poop production! This is just one day of frass from those 3 caterpillars!

Scaly Leg Mite seem to produce an inordinate amount of poop.

Visit ended up being pretty darn good.
Dug thru some past this morning by finding a bag of stuff from our 2013 family reunion,
which included a DVD my Dad had made of our 1990 family reunion.
A lot to process...... Whew.

5 birds still laying, they make quite a racket!
