BYC Café

35 here the last 2 mornings, frosting here and there, including my bare fingers.

Got two 'neglect messes' cleaned up yesterday.
Tractor started with some ether in the carb.
Rear yard gate cleared of grapevines that had basically tied it shut.
Now I can haul the bags of old coop bedding(from spring), and the pile of grape vines, out to the woods.
Both those tasks only took about maybe an hour each,
still way more activity than I'm used to.
Biggest thing was that I actually got off my ass and did them.

@bruceha2000 thanks again for the North trail lake Willoughby hike suggestion. We made it to the summit and to the lookouts. As you know, pictures just can't do it justice. It's something you have to experience. Which my niece did not. She was complaining about hiking on flat rail trails yesterday and we only went about a half a mile. Two and a half miles up the side of a mountain was probably not going to go over well with her so I asked if she wanted to stay home. She readily agreed!

Trying to mooch a snack from a fellow hiker.

I made Bella walk with me mostly unleashed the entire way up the mountain.

She was excellent. Still no signs of limping and just a super sweet girl. But I have not let her do any leaping, running or twisting. Except for the time she stopped to greet three ladies hiking up the mountain and decided that the walking stick (branch) one of them had would make a darn fine chew stick. They all got to kick out of that, and found her one of her own.
And little 15 1/2 years old Skittles made it all the way up and back down too. I only carried him for a total of maybe half a mile.
