Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL!

It’s sunny again today, but rain is on the way. Scrambling to finish getting the garden prepared for winter - and today I’ll be putting in a full day of work too. If only the days weren’t getting so short.

Dreaming of those beautiful summer days we’ve left behind! Here’s a photo of a long-finned pilot whale (the species I study) playing with a dead jellyfish.

Leak is likely at the level which the pond drained down to?

I pumped out another foot of water yesterday and remarked the level. I'll have to watch and wait. It's drizzling out right now so it will be hard to see the mark but it's supposed to be dry the rest of the week. I have to wait until it stops dropping so I can narrow the search for the hole or defect. I fear it will stop dropping once it hits the bottom drain and that would mean a leak at the liner attachment.

Good morning! Hot coffee! It is 22F and I think we got just a few flurries. It is sunny now but supposed to get windy tonight, 50mph+ , so I guess winter is here whether or not the snow shows, lol.

DL, that was funny. I had to hang on to my coffee while I was choking down a laugh!
I am not sure what is in store on the chore list today. So many possibilities...

I can’t believe you’re already into the cold and snow - we’re still stuck in late summer/early fall here in Nova Scotia!

I stopped over at my sister/BILs this morning to go over an upcoming project I'm helping with.
As I was talking, my sister interrupted me and asked "did you lose weight?"
"Yes." I said. "About 20 pounds."
"How? What did you do?"
"Well, I've been able to do a lot more things around the house and I'm not stress eating anymore since I moved DH into assisted living."

Sis looked at her husband and said "Get out."

I just about died laughing!
