BYC Café

Good morning Cafe! There's a pot of coffee on.

This weekend will bring the end to our fall gardening work. A few more things to harvest and a couple beds to put to rest for the winter.

Tomorrow I have a celebration of life to attend (virtually, as I'm currently on the wrong side of the country) for a young fella who was tragically killed in an MVA two weeks ago. I went to school with his older twin brothers from preschool through the end of my undergraduate degree and was good friends with one of them. He was seriously one of the nicest, most gentle people I've ever met and his family also embodied that nature. Through his death he has gifted five people with the hope of life (one of his wishes was to be an organ donor if he died young), so it has been a bitter sweet two weeks walking along the path of grief with this family.

How sad that he is gone but how wonderful he made life supporting gifts. :hugs Very bitter sweet. Sorry for your loss.

Warm again!
But rained most the day, supposed to rain all day tomorrow.
Luckily I got all the bags and buckets from coop and shed for the bedding swap on Sunday into the tractor cart and backed into the garage.
I can load the van tomorrow under cover from rain and supposedly gale force winds.
