That is dead in the house.

I always cut a tree for Christmas but just can't do it anymore because I no longer can accept killing one just to decorate my house for a few weeks. So I got an artificial tree.

Only plus I see there is have it up allot longer.
I keep it up maybe 2 weeks, watered no needles lost.
Full circle the tree is firewood the farmer plants new ones to take it place.
Guess it is personal choice

I'm with you DL. I have had a live tree forever. And even living trees, and been disappointed to find out they cut off the roots so I didn't really have a live tree. Now I have a Balsam Hill fake tree and I love it. I can put it up the day after thanksgiving and take it down the day after Christmas and never have a dead needle fall. : )

It's cool and crisp here this morning!

So, we generally have a true live tree (roots and all) which we then plant out in the backyard. Now we have this great collection of old Christmas trees growing on a hill near the back pond <3 It's a good compromise, but it does involve more work on our end. I just truly hate the amount of plastic in our lives right now - not good for people - and that is why I don't care for the fake ones (despite their convenience).

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. Dogs have made themselves at home. This morning Rocky was even playing tug of war with Jeter. He seems to be in far less pain than when he arrived. I wonder if daughter was giving his meds at proper intervals?
