I hope little Salt will follow in his footsteps!

I have observed that Piper is always watching the interactions of Bella and Skittles with me and how they behave. She is learning a lot from them.
I'm sure Salt is doing the very same.

Does anyone have experience with the anti-pull leashes/harnesses? Do they work?

Not personally but I've seen them in action. Dog pulls, its head turns back toward the handler because there is no other choice. It works. And something people up the hill haven't figured out. They are still using a harness on their hound. He's gotten better but he still pulls hard, just isn't dragging them along at a trot because they couldn't hold him back. Nothing like giving the dog the advantage of its 4 leg drive pulling with its shoulders.

If I buy eggs, will the girls start laying?

YES!

But maybe not until February or March

That is Freya exactly! We have a harness for her, and she can pull me over if I'm not paying attention.

That settles it. I'm stopping at the pet supply store on the way home from the chiro this coming Wednesday. Thank you all for the info.

Goats! I was calling them my porch goats because they had made their home...my porch. It was a mess. Who knew three little goats pooped so much. Plus the little squirts were too feisty with my old dog, Nahla. She is far bigger than them, but refuses to fight back. She's a big baby.

Anyway, I had moved in a bit of a huff, so the perimeter was fenced, but I didn't have a pen built. I built that whole thing all by myself! A very proud moment for me. The corner that you see in the picture now has 5 rails on both sides because the little fatties got out immediately! Agh! I worked so hard to get that done. It was Sunday night and I was hanging the gate with the light on my phone. I coaxed them in with a scoop of corn, shut the gate and the little ones freaked out and went right through it I threw up my hands and went to bed.

When I got home from work the next day, Hazel was laying on the porch against the door and Violet was nowhere in sight. I had just heard from the neighbor down the way that he had seen a wolf just a few mornings before. I thought "oh no!" I started walking toward the pen and Hazel hauled ass towards it! There were Lucy (too big to escape) and Violet. She'd put herself back. I do believe they see Lucy as mama goat. I let Hazel in and that was that. A couple weeks later, one was out gobbling up chicken food and so I put up a couple more rails on the corner. The end. The rest of the pen is still four rails, but they don't work the fence. Works for me

I remember had Maline belgian tervuren and her daughter Sinner. Sin had this stuffed cat she loved her cat.. One day out cleaning Sin left her cat, later in the day I saw her with the dead cat stripped of stuffing. Maline was a killer of stuffed toys all her life..

Our dog Freya has set a new record! We gave her a Wubba with a squeaker on Christmas, and
