Good evening Cafe. I detected a shortage of coffee so I've made a pot.

Desperation drove me to do a major cook today. I've got eight single meals in containors in the freezer now. I've run out of basic cupboard stock such as tinned tomatoes, bags of pasta, tinned fish ( I blame the chickens for that mostly) cheese and various other bits. Looks like it's shopping next. Not sure I can cope with that much domestication in one week!

I've been at the flat a year now. The first year is probationary. I got my full contract yesterday. I'm now unlikely to be homeless again in the UK which is a relief. I can always go and be homeless in some other country if I find I'm missing the experience.

Unfortunatley being properly registered is going to mean finishing those things I let by until I was sure I'll have the flat indefinitely like decorating the wetroom and doing something with the kitchen floor which while mostly functional is pink anti slip flooring.

Good morning Cafe! Coffee is on - both a Columbian and dark roast as options!

This morning is cold and crisp, but there is rain in the forecast for this weekend. I'm busy getting ready to teach some university bio labs this evening (remotely).

The coldest high temp in the next week's forecast is 33 degrees. The doesn't bode well for snow for DH to cross country ski on. That means grumpy hubby.
