Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Cloudy here, so no eclipse viewing. We got about 2.5” of rain Thursday night and yesterday. Brought harvest to a stop, of course, but gives DH a chance to rest a little, do some maintenance on the combine and truck, and winterize the camper.

I’m happily puttering in my house today. Still no word from the furnace repair guy, but it’s OK. We turned on the floor heat in the basement, and got the (gas) fireplace going down there and we have a fan blowing warm air upstairs. It’s pretty comfortable in here, and if I want to be really warm, I can go downstairs. I’m also contemplating making some banana bread or something. I’ll make sure to put some on the counter by the coffee pot if I get it done.

Did you not have a power dryer before?

Yes but no external vent so no drying clothes in the house in warm weather.
And once I pulled the circuit out of the basement, I couldn't use it at all.

Good morning Café. Coffee is now ready too.
It's a brisk 44 out with showers coming.
I did practically nothing yesterday and slept off and on throughout the day. I don't know why.
I'm getting the dogs out for a run, getting some errands run and cleaning and organizing today.
One thing high on the chore list is installing the high baby gate I bought to keep Piper out of the mud room. We're back to eating the firewood with wood chips and splinters all over the place.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! Sunny and above freezing this morning.
I did the pin hole thing yesterday and it was pretty awesome. I think at least 80% here so it was a noticeable darkening of the sunshine.

Nah. I just watched the people that delivered it do the install.

It only cost $25 for installation. I would need to be retarded not to pay that for someone else to do the install at that price.

I really like being able to wash the clothes upstairs. I've washed everything in the house except the bedding... and the dogs.
