ETA - I just have to share. Right after I took this, I was going to close the east window of my stand (because the wind is blowing in), and as I reached over to do so, a fawn walked right past it. They are so dumb, it’s amazing that any survive to adulthood, I had just stuck my arm out the window to take the picture! (No I didn’t shoot it. We’re not that hungry.)

Good Afternoon, Cafe’!
I’m hanging out with grandsons (3 1/2 years and 11 1/2 months) while their parents are hunting. I have a serious problem in my house. The basement floor is lava, and if that wasn’t bad enough, there are Krakens in the lava! Fortunately, we have a Kraken killer (it looks a lot like a blue pool noodle) that shoots swords at the Krakens. Whew! Never a dull moment…

Somehow when I first read this, I was thinking you truly had a problem with your basement floor. I had just woke from a good sleep and didn't connect the whole story together for a while. Sounds like someone has a good imagination. I got a new grandson Friday night from my youngest daughter. Weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces. Small feller but everything seems perfect about him. Happiness.

I moved my horse down off the mountains for the winter. I think he will appreciate not having to deal with the ice and snow.

My second round of sleep was like a good icing on a good cake. Must check on the girls and boys and see what they are up to. I never know what I'm going to find. I see some flew over the rail and are looking at me through the window. We're going to discuss this when I get outside..

Congratulations on the new family addition!

Imagine to have to push out a big and chunky baby which even can take days! Slim is better, he will gain more weight soon enough.
