BYC Café

I can order medication online if I regularly need it, and have a prescription for it …our pharmacy is really expensive, but at least they have almost everything on hand, if you order stuff online, it can take up to 2 weeks til delivery 😬
Once I get my prescriptions, I don't worry about it. Don't have to call then or remind them. They just send them. If I need a 30 day of medication, I just fill it at the local pharmacy. They send me email to tell me it's ready.

Good Evening, Cafe’

Just finished putting the kids’ Christmas tree up in the basement. It’s become a tradition for the two local grands to come
help me decorate then tree. It started in 2020 when GS was 3. I was depressed and had no interest or desire to put up a tree. GS and his family were here for Thanksgiving, and the little guy was rooting around under the basement stairway. He came flying up the steps yelling, “Gramma! Gramma! There’s a Chrisun tree under the stairs!” He was so excited, how could I not put it up? They’ve helped with the tree ever since. I really don’t like an artificial tree, but I want one by the fireplace, and I’m not comfortable putting a real one there. (I’m hoping to get a real one to put upstairs this year and decorate with my special and breakable ornaments.)

We get our within 7 days or less.
First, I have to send the original prescription to them, which can take up to 3 days, then they “process” the order, wich takes another few days and then they ship it out, but, the postal service has become unreliable, it used to be that orders came the next day, now, it can take up to a week! The cost of everything has gone up, so the postal service is saving money by not shipping everything overnight but “collecting” parcels for a region until the truck is full 🙄

Wow, no, we have to go to the doctor for a refill prescription almost every time, if you are a very good „customer“ they might send you the prescription per postal service if you call them, but not every doctor dies that, and if they do, nit all the time 🙄 the only thing they will do is prescribe you the maximum package

I must see my regular doctor only every 6 months. But the medication company faxes a request to the doctor for a 90 day supply, and refills. I have not had to call in to the doctor about it yet. And i get the refills before i run out. Without asking for them. 30 day rxs I get from the local small town pharmacy. The only doctor that is stingy about my rxs is my rheumatologist. I get 30 days with 2 refills. He insists I see him every 3 months with blood work. But I really appreciate how he was willing to take my problems seriously. And what he has prescribed for me does help.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

They moved DH to the dementia ward because they were remodeling three rooms on the rehab floor and his was one of them. I finally conceded and allowed them to do it because ANY move is going to trigger another episode of aggression for at least a week before he will settle down. And I no longer harbor any hope that I will get him over to Vestal Park. He will die at Absolut. Or Mercy House depending on what happens.

He definitely no longer remembers me. He does remember my name but doesn't associate it with my face. Tough visit last night.
