Always busier on the weekends, I've found since I retired.

yup.

now do all my store chores on the weekdays.

And, YUP!!!

If I have to go to Meijer on the weekend, I try to go Sunday, about 9 am. You can see the number of people change as it get closer to 10 am. I've had store employees tell me that 10 was the witching hour.

This week we’ve had temperatures around 23, so everything is frozen, very slippery, have to watch out cos I’ve got a new hip, falling is the last thing I need right now, have trouble getting boots on by myself, hubby/son not always there to help, then I wear regular shoes, but they are very slippery and my feet start freezing very soon but, I love the weather ( if I could put on boots by myself) my dog really enjoys it too, just eating too much snow, which speeds up her digestion in a bad way

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

HTG stopped by last night for about an hour. His mother is in the hospital and has been given a terminal diagnosis. The doctors gave her 1-3 months. He said she has given up and doesn't think she'll make it to Christmas.

I suggested he contact the Hospice unit my sister works for and the family can discuss with their mother either hospice care in her home or moving her to Mercy House. When there are 14 kids all wanting something different and only a few of them acknowledging that they should find out what SHE wants, this could be very tough for all involved.

Seems the two of us are both going through the same things...

I am surprised, here, they operate on 85 year old patients, I’m quite sure they take more than BP medication they don’t do full anesthesia in problematic cases, but do spinal anesthesia instead, most of my fellow patients were 77 and 78 and faster on their feet than me

Drizzly, rainy, cruddy day here today. Looks like the drizzle is supposed to last past 2 pm.

I got Bella's blood test results back. She is incredibly low in cobalamin and low in folate. I bought a bottle of cobalamin that has 100 injectable doses for less than $12. I will be giving her oral folate.

My nurse sis came over to do the first injection and she hosed it! Her hands were shaking like a leaf because of neuropathy in her neck. She didn't get the needle fully through and under her skin and when she injected it, it squirted back out of the skin onto her shoulder.

I decided I had to suck it up and do it myself. And I DID! I have never given such an injection. I HATE needles. HATE. But if she is going to need this for the rest of her life, I need to be the one to do it.

I'm hoping that Bella starts to feel much better soon with her new therapy. I will need to get her blood serum levels tested again in early March to finalize what her final therapeutic regime should be.

Why did that happen?
Are these something that may be present in commercial feeds?

When I was a teen our dog had diabetes and we had to give her a shot everyday, I often was the one who did it(but my mother was delegated to collect urine samples) that dog would come running and lay down wagging for her shot.
