BYC Café

I could do without the tree, but hubby wants it, so we do. We'll put it up Christmas Eve, and then I'll have to take it down mid-January, just to get it out of the way.

We stopped buying gifts many years ago, but still give small things to friends, homemade goodies, usually.

A couple years ago, we did spend some money on gifts, but it was a very grateful Christmas, full of gratitude, as a dear friend (we call her our daughter) had beaten lymphoma.
Our #2 child beat lymphoma about 14 years ago. His gift to life came from his #2 child in the way of a bone marrow transplant.

Good morning all. I just hit the go button on the coffee pot and it will be ready shortly. Sorry but all the sinnamnon bread is gone.

Update on my neighbor, just venting...

We talked with her husband this morning. She had him take her to the ER Wednesday night, and said she thought she was having a heart attack. (Vomiting and severe chest pain.) They told her to "go sit down over there" and someone would be with her. People who arrived after her were seen before her.

Really? REALLY? Someone comes to the ER with severe chest pain and thinks they're having a heart attack should "go sit down over there?"

Anyway. She's doing better, the pump and "all the heart stuff tubes" (hubby's words) are out, but she had trouble breathing last night. She's on oxygen and I'm going to guess the possibility of pneumonia is high.
