A freshly brewed pot is on the counter.
The rain finally stopped and some rays of sunshine peek through the dark clouds.

Today we are heading out to the annual open gardens tour where private gardens will be open for visitors to come and enjoy, talk to the owners and get inspiration and interesting ideas for their own gardens at home.

The Brothers Dale will stay at home and on watch.
The flocks enjoy some sunshine and the broodies roam the aviary. And yes! You guessed it already: two more since last evening, both La Flèche mixes, broody for the third time this year.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee.

We were supposed to get rain for about 6 days in a row. That is why I was in a big rush to get my grass seed planted. The forecast has now changed to bright sunshine for the next 2 days. Time to drag the house around to the front of the house so I can water the seed.

Oh! I would LOVE to attend this! I am having a little issue here... I keep buying plants! I have miniature perennial grasses that I'm going to plant along the sides of the front walkway. And I bought some neat colors of coral bells and some other plants to put in my large blue pots so I don't have to spend a ton on annuals every year. I need two more rose bushes... yes, NEED.

My condolences. I'm struggling with just 4. Astrid was caught impersonating a turkey and her parole was revoked. She is back in the clink. The thing is, Jody, the d'Uccle, was already in her jail cell. Astrid kept growling at her and giving her little pecks. So I had to release Jody. I need to set up another crate or two. I need more water bottles. I think I'll go to the thrift store today. Oops. Another one of my addictions.
