It was so pleasant to work outside today! I got some weeding done, and turned the compost pile.

I'm putting in comp time this week and next week to help cover the week of my surgery so I don't have to take too much PTO.

Yes! I am loving it!
A 2nd blanket was deployed last night, and I sure didn't want to crawl out from under them this morning.

Stubbornest broody was back in nest last night, put her on the roost, but she was back cluckin' and puffin' away in a nest this morning. Back to her breaker crate.

3 trees down and cut up before the rain came in.
Chicken bone broth stewing for the soup tonight and it will be cool enough to enjoy it!

I worked 6.5 hours at the plant and have put another 1.5 hours at home. Taking a snack break.

I tapped HTG for some cord wood. He unexpectedly stopped by to leave his loaded trailer here with the first face cord in it. He'll come back tonight to stack it for me.
Oowee, but I forgot how good looking he is!
