BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Granny!

And we are a go for Operation Fix the Back!! Surgery is Monday afternoon. I can't wait!

I'm trying to be well prepared with getting the house ready for others to run for me during the first few days of healing.

The boys all know how to tend the flock but Jody's chicks will have hatched by then and someone is going to have to put on his big boy panties to deal with Savannah and her little poopers and get them out of the nest box every night.

I'm going to show my BIL the pattern I use to cut the grass in just the main lawn as I hope to be able to cut the grass by driving slowly and sitting on a thick pillow after 2 weeks of healing and will do the main lawn plus the chicken pen. I'll have to ask about this.

I'll have the dogs dinner and breakfast prepared for the day of surgery and morning after. I should be able to do it after that.
I am so glad to hear that you are a go for Operation Fix the Back. It took too long to get there - but finally just days to go.
:hugs

WooHoo!! Hope it does all you hope.

Woke to a nice rain with some thunder, perfect for cuddling under the covers for a bit of a lie in.
Had to get on hands and knees to clear some stuff from under the low deck on patio yesterday. Up and down a couple times, ooof! Went OK. Then later stubbed toe and landed awkwardly on a hardwood chair, banging thigh and forearm quite hard. Geez!
Today all the muscles from waist to knee are sore as hell.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee.

Great news! I’m glad they can get you in so quickly!

Ouch! I hope your muscles forgive you sooner rather than later!

Hoo boy. As I start doing my chores I realize there is a LOT I will not be able to do with a 10# lifting restriction and no bending for the first 2 weeks...

Prune the pond.
Do weekly pond maintenance.
Move the doody bucket around.
Fill/clean the chicken waterer.
Water the plants.
Harvest the garden.
Hang the wash and bring it in.
Put my pants on! 😳 (This is why I've been wearing dresses whenever I leave the house.)

My sister is planning on switching spots with C for the first few days so she can make sure I have something to eat and help with whatever I need help with. So now I need to strip his bed and wash all the bedding for her.

I have thoughts on who will be able to help with what to get the job done until I can do these things myself. I'll just sit back and be project manager.
