Did you know tea bags are loaded with microplastics???
I heard about it, ....Isn't there anything out there that we eat and drink that will not make us sick? Those teabags look like papers, I thought gee those are strong thin paper because it does not break in hot water and I have to tear it off to compost the tea inside. That what I thought paper bag was very tough.

There are metal tea balls so you can use loose tea. And we quit buying bottled water, installed a water filter system for our well water

A while back, I started on this journey of recycling and composting organic materials. I got a few different types of compost bins, do my due diligent to recycle plastics. After many year of that...for me it proved to be a pain since last year.

2025, no more composting..the endless rain, humid weather,.. some part of the garden has gone moldy, strange mushrooms growing everywhere, flies are buzzing like crazy, compost bins smells so bad, maggots crawling out of the compost bins, wild birds come over to eat it. A recipe to get the neighbours complaints and get my chickens sick with so many wild birds. I read online how to .etc.... did not work due to the prolonged and constant wet weather.

I found that those thick large plastic sheets I use to cover my chicken enclosures broke down into microplastics, the tarps also peeled off the top plastics. All these microplastics are being eaten by my chickens and....I don't even want to know whatever the consequences of that.

Some plastic pot plants, the pots broke down slowly, it is slowly turning powdery when touch.

2025, no more composting of food stuff, not buy anymore of plastic cover sheets, and use trees and plants trimming as ground cover.

My garden is covered in microplastics and my chickens eat them, I eat their eggs, so be it.

I should get back to making me own dog cookies. Do you ever use Carob chips?
No, she gets peanut butter cookies. (recipe below)
What do you put in the dog cookies and what the hell is a grownie cake?!

This has my recipe for grownies, including where the name comes from.

Last time I made them, I added 1 cup of water to the dry mix. Definitely more like cake batter, and a LOT longer to bake. It was more like a cake, and was delicious! I used probably 1-1 1/2 cups of raisins.

Dog cookies
1cup milk
1cup peanut butter
2cups whole wheat flour
1Tablespoon baking powder

Mix milk and PB together. Mix flour and baking powder. Mix wet and dry ingredients with a mixer. Roll out ¼” thick and cut into cookies.

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. I use a non-stick cookie sheet; no need to grease it.
