Good Morning All

Having a nice cup of coffee now.
The weather is getting cooler and the day has started to get a bit shorter, but I am still not able to sleep properly, so many times waking up during the night, I bet I only sleep a few minutes and wake again.

I will be baking biscuits today, need to have some in the house for those moments that need something sweet other than fruits.šŸ˜„

Good morning Cafe. Coffee maker is all set and ready to go.

I'm heading down to the gym and will have mine when I'm done.

We are 11° and will only see a high of around 20° today. Tonight's lows will be in the single digits then that appears to be it for the season. I plan to strip out the nest boxes tomorrow, get them as clean as I can and rebed them for their intended use. They will not be used as chicken warmers again until next winter.

I don't think the timer worked on your coffee maker so I have brewed a pot.
I didn't set the timer. You had to press the button, sit on your tookus and wait. But thanks! I'll have a hot cup too while I wait for my fresh out of the oven frittata to cool so I can have some.

I have been limiting the turkey food to just 2 quarts a day. I don't want them dependent. It's just to support them.
This morning, I watched them literally running through the woods to the breakfast buffet. And it appears that the original flock of 38 all showed up along with friends from neighboring counties! 😳
I grabbed another quart and walked out slowly and spread it along the frozen moat then trotted back to the house. The flock only retreated about 20' into the woods to watch me and were back to the grub by the time I got back to the window for my morning turkey lurking.

fresh out of the oven frittata
I never EVER measure the spices that I put in my frittatas and always use whatever floats my boat that day. I have a large glass mixing bowl that I pile up with an assortment of chopped veggies. I have forgone using bulk sausage to avoid eating processed meat and instead use ground pork that I season.

The frittatas always come out good but todays was spectacular. I used butternut squash, small orange, yellow and red sweet peppers, broccoli, sweet onion and portobello mushrooms. I seasoned the pork with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin and garlic powder.
I am writing this down not only to share but to remember what I did so I can repeat it again. Yum!
