BYC Café

I was busy putting up stuff to shelter my feather kids from rain and wind. I am most worry about the bantams, they are so tiny, super cutie tiny.
Bantams are just fine in nasty weather with rain and strong wind. About the same as the big ones. I had bantams who preferred to roost in trees from spring till autumn.

Only severe cold under -15°C is difficult for normal adult bantams. It seems (reading) the tiny Serama A type can’t handle cold below freezing very well.

Have a nice coffee or tea you’all. With ot without grubs and biscuits. 🍪 🪱
Here it’s time to say goodnight. 😴

We have a fire in the wood stove tonight, and probably will every night this week. The next 3 days, we won't get to 60 degrees!
I fear I may need a fire or 2 over the next week as we will drop into the 40s at night and only hit high 50s/low 60s during rainy days.

Same here and I am very confused because we had started the very hot and humid phase.
I put all my warm clothes away already.

Climate change is happening. Too cold or too hot for too long for the time of the year. Too dry or too wet for too long. More weather extremes.

Where I live we had way too much rain last year which was actually good because there was not enough in the year before and it helped to fill the underground drink water supplies.
This spring we have way too much sun and warm weather. The soil is too dry for the crops and nature. There’s not enough water in the streams and we are using too much water again from the underground drink water supplies. Fire hazards are a fact.

Lets have a strong coffee and a strange day today.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I thought I'd gotten over the worst of my cold. It just shifted to another sinus cavity. I'm going back to sleep now that the animals have been taken care of.
