Good Morning

It is cloudy over here too.

It is 8:50 over here and Wednesday morning. Having my first cup of tall jumble tea, the cold weather is less cold now without the wind.

My Isa brown laid a good egg this morning. I see some calcium deposits on her egg, I will continue with calcium tablet still because last time I stopped she pop out a no shell egg. I will give it a couple of days, see what on her eggshell and go from there.

I have no shell eggs dropping everywhere, the other day 1 right in front of my stair after 5pm and my flock was all around, no way I know who dune it. So I end up vent checking everybody, they must be thinking that mommy is mad....she definitely is bum bum obsessive.!

The business of chicken is never dull!

Have a wonderful day

Good afternoon!

A fresh pot is on the counter. :caf
I just finished cleaning out all the coops in preparation of the "big move" which is scheduled for tonight, merging three different juvenile flocks into just two while at the same time separating the already hormonal cockerels from the pullets.

Each juvenile flock will have their own very large area with lots of trees and bushes to explore and busy themselves which will distract them enough to minimize hostility.

How are you doing @Mtn Margie ? Any new wrestling tournaments to attend and win for your boys or moose visiting?

We just had my favourite nephew come and stay for a week with us. He is studying in Madrid and London and we haven't seen him for more than five years because of all the crazy covid travel restrictions.
We had a wonderful time together!

Good Morning All,

Having my 3 hot cups - already done the 2 coffees and 1 tea😄

I love watching chickens chest bumping each other, cuteness overload! Baby rooster attempting to crow..adorable for sure.

Juvenile flock like teenagers, they will investigate everything!

The youngest I have in my flock now is a 6 months old bantam and she is like a baby. She is quiet, but as soon as she hears the back door open, she starts to scream for attention. So very cute. I always worried that I my break her as she is so tiny. Pigeon is better than my little bantam.

Life is good with chickens.

We are getting out of the cold snap so the winter weather is back to normal winter weather 13C - 15C at night = 55F-59F.

Day time is between 18C - 22C =64F - 71F, this is just nice weather. Usually the wind makes winter colder.

Have a great day
