Good Morning

I will send over our rain for you @Sally PB.
Yesterday we got some light rain early in the morning that carried on from the night before.

Then came the horrible strong wind. The good thing about this horrible wind is that the top soil dried up.

The weather report earlier this June say that we will be having a dry winter, so far we got 2 weeks of sunshine and then wet/wind/mud. Mother nature is very sick as her volatile weather indicated.

Since March 2024 to now, we have been having excessive and prolong rain. The soil in my garden has not been dry, it is constantly muddy, soggy and dry a bit at the top, then back to the muddy/soggy again.

My chicken areas have been weathered out the wet weather, I believed that the rain is here to stay so some sort of permanent modification to our chicken areas is a must.

In the mean time, I am having my nice hot coffee with you all, cooking breakfast - French Toast, omelette and vegetable soup.

Have a wonderful day.

My sugar snap peas have a lot of heat damage on the growing tips.
I have officially lost the battle against nature. It only took four days of unbearable heat and humidity and I can hardly make my way through the jungle.
I need a machete.
I may actually see if I can lay my hands on a machete!

Good morning! We have 45F currently.
The crazy noisy baby woodpecker finally fledged and went off to the neighbor's trees to continue the hollering for food. Phew!
Hugs, Sally... :hugs
I made fried chicken for dinner last night. I have not made that in years, usually baked or stewed. DH's favorite treat and I rarely buy it and never eat the bought stuff. (Nasty seed oil) It went well with the spicy smoked porkchop/ cabbage soup from the other day.
Just not much going on, which is good!
Enjoy the day, Cafe!
