When I clean the chicken water base every morning, I just dump it into the chimney block infilled with pea stone that it sits on. When I pulled it back to aim the water into that area it was full of chicken feathers!
I knew there was a mouse in there.
I did not care.
I dumped in the water.
Said uninvited guest dashed out and ran underneath the steps that lead up into the coop.
I have been derelict in my duties by not resetting the mousetrap in the broody breaker that gets used for mouse trap protection duty during the winter. I've caught 4 mice so far this year and I'm hoping to nail number 5 tonight!
Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
Sometimes, you just gotta go with it...
DH helped me out while I was driving DAF yesterday and trimmed up the new, but too big outside door mat. I was speechless but thanked him and agreed that it needed to be cut to fit.
Hot milk with cinnamon powder is ready. I done the coffee early this morning already. It is sticky, cloudy and it will be mighty hot until it rains.
DL, those mouses!!! Grrr
We think we got a whole extended family of those living somewhere in our backyard. We got mouse poop tiny, big, medium size. We are consistently catching a small one every few weeks, but their extended family is very big!!!
My lash egg hen's tummy seem to be cooler and smaller compared to yesterday, the mass still there. The treatment list is long that it might reach the moon, she got something every 2 hours.
This morning her poops is like rooster's poops - light green, dry and cylinder shape. She is still not eating except foraging bugs in the yard = not good sign. Free range treatment continues.
