Some of my squares are bright, those with the blue and orange in the cotton worsted weight are cheerful. The plain purple with the veriagated purple are darker and then I have the christmas ones..do whatever you like and it'll be good!!

I have a huge stash of yarn, so there is no telling what I'll end up using. I guess it depends on the pattern.

I think anything goes. The wilder the better. LOL!!!!!

LOL!!! My husband and son said "you aren't going to take that anywhere in public are you?"!!!!!! Cracked me up!!! I said "Yes, of course!!" LOL!!! Guess they aren't into being hippified!!!

I took what was left of that light and lofty yarn I made the edges with and cut long strips and knotted it every three inches and twisted some more in between the knots when I was done "knotting"! then poked it through the corners where it would hold and knotted that down too...easy peasy...it holds alot of yarn too, lol!! Think I'll take my hippified bag to the race track next saturday...but NOT with a baby project in it, lol!!!

I'm glad you posted an updated list of swappers.
I have 22 squares made and making more! I just know we will get more people who want to swap squares.

I started a baby blanket for DH's daughter. She is expecting her 4th in Dec.
This is getting very addictive.

Jean, you're so funny!! Hey, how odd, I forgot that most of us on this crochet thread had posted LAST YEAR on the crafters what are you making for christmas thread!! How odd..Guess ALOT of us are really just old friends now, loL!! How cool!!! Craft making bunch!! Post pics of your blanket too Jean...might inspire someone, lol! I have one more skien on that charity baby blanket..wont make it so big next time, I think 24 x 24 might be better than 36 x 36..this one is really big and using LOT of yarn to make the size square...it'll be a nice one for whoever gets it I guess..the yarn isnt quite as soft as I'd like..it's red heart acrylic..think I'll use caron next time. I have alot of my squares at least partially done too...don't want to have to squeeze them in between my Christmas projects!!! How is everyone else coming along?????

And hey...there are ALOT of names from the last list MISSING from this one!!! Where is everyone???!!!!!

Hey gang!

Life has been busy b/c of dd schedule.

I was a taxi mom all last week. She'd taking a summer PE class so she can squeeze in another one this fall, she had soccer training & soccer tryouts for the select teams, plus getting ready for camp.

It was insane.

We took her down to Camp Ondessonk on Sun for the week. It's gorgeous down there and she loves it. It's really like a home away from home for her. I told dh that we might as well start looking for real estate down there b/c in a few yrs she'll probable be spending the whole summer down there being a counselor.

I have been a bad, bad hooker and haven't done much hookin at all. I need to get going on it since the list is growing. It would be nice to get a jump start and maybe do extras.

Jean, that's awesome that you have so many complete and moving right along to a blanket.

You go, girl!

Someone needs to kick my butt into gear!

Sorry all that I have not posted a updated list but scrambled is taken care of you, I am in the mid summer slam, planning two vactions, two sick kids, pet sitting, and now i have an egg bound hen so I will do the best I can and will get back to my ole posting self just as soon as the 4th of july is past and my hen is doing better. Thanks for the help Scrambled egg and I will try to keep up best i can at the moment. Maw.

Alot of people are MIA right now with all the summer obligations but I'm sure when it's nearer to the close of signup in Septmeber, they will all come home to roost!!
