LC how nice of you to do the babyghan squares! Very cool.

It's my first time doing swap/secret santas online too. I just mailed my SS out today. Wooo hoo! I hope the recipient will let me know as soon as it reaches her, as soon as she can anyway.

Fancy was mailed out today too. Gonna miss that frizzle mascot. I think she might have left a few surprises for me and Hannah. (I'll let you know - she's good at hiding things.

Ack! Skand no more string based hobbies for me please! My cats already think I am trying to torment them with all my yarn and that peeping box I have in the living room.

And now I am off to work on other projects and watch the snow.

Sure will, Skand! If our snow stays wet, we will build one asap. If it freezes up, I will make sure to get you one as soon as we can. Here's one to hold you over for now...

Try to take a deep breath, calm your nerves down some. Turn your radio on and zone yourself for about 10 minutes.

Call your Social Security office, and see what you need to start doing to see about temp. disability. You can find out how long it will take to take effect.
If you don't have ins., see about calling the medicaid office and get an emergency appt.

If you dont have a perscription coverage, find out what meds he'll will be taking when he gets out, Wal-mart pharmacy has a list of differnent meds for $4 a 30 day supply.

Also when we didn't have insurance and Hannah broke her arm, the hospital was very willing to work with us for financial aid/and small billing payments and whatever else they could. Make sure you set up and appt with hospital financial advisers if you don't have insurance.

They get paid *more* if you have insurance, so they are actually very willing to give discounts for private pay. Also make sure that you have everything itemized on one bill, that way you don't end up with 8 different bills for all the procedures.

Definitely do as Skand suggests and set up disability leave. Contact his employer right away and find out what they need, and get all doc and med paperwork for proof and it should go pretty easily.

Don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, just speaking from experience.

It all seems like a lot right now. Just ask questions and let others guide you and it will be ok. Our prayers are still with you.
Hang in there!

lol yeppers, definately done from experiance. When Jim was in the car wreck that broke his neck, we were dealing from ignorance. I've learned, you don't know how to play the system, until you've been in the system before.
If you need help with kid's Christmas or with a food basket for the holidays, contact churches, and different programs. Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Goodwill, and whatever kind of shelters you might have in your area.
Don't be afraid, we're here with whatever assistance you need. Just let us know what we could do to help, food, clothing, toys, just to talk, whatever.

Scoot, I'm so very sorry to hear 'bout your DH! I hope he responds well and quickly to whatever meds the Drs give him! Prayers for you both!!

SE, SS is off! YEAH!! I hope she enjoys them when they arrive! Am I meant to PM her too?

Mommahen, I got it!! I got it!! Gonna get busy making her tonight, after I finish up w/ the shawl edge! Oh! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

Yes, Scoot don't hesitate to ask us for help too! I am getting pretty good with the critters and can whip some up if you need kiddo gifts...well, ok I can whip up arimugumi (sp) mice...that is about all I am fast at.
