Will have to wait for Mawchick to post the rules b/c she is hosting the Fall swap.

In the last swap the requirements were to make a total of 20 - 6" granny squares all in the same pattern. You could choose any granny square pattern as long as you used the same one to make them all. Looks like this go round we'll vote on a theme pattern.

I was hoping this go round that we could make as many squares as many as the amount of people signed up, so we could get one of everyone's back, if it wasn't a crazy amount of people signed up.

Me too!! It would be awesome to get one back from everybody!!

Hey, guys & gals.

I'm (unfortunately) going to have to drop out of this swap, for now.

We have some serious personal stuff going on here right now, which is looking to be long-term, so I'll pull out now and come back closer to swap-time, if I can.

Thanks -
Em

Yea, I think it would be awesome to!

I was intimidated in the last swap wondering if I would have time to complete 20 by the deadline b/c I'd never done granny squaes before. After I got the hang of it, I found it pretty easy to crank a few each night during down time.

I think it would be just great to have one of everyones.

Remember, I didn't send my first 10 or 11 attempts. LOL!!!!!! They were as scary as that turtle.

I hope to learn a new pattern for the next swap. Hopefully my MIL will help me w/ a new pattern today when we go over to their house for a cookout.

Ok, another picture!

You can laugh if you want to...I figure if I can get it to look somewhat like a square, I should be able to do this correctly by the time the swap is here.

This is my first try at a granny square! I've been on the phone trying to find someone who can teach me how to do this!

The pictures that have been posted are gorgeous! I will be able to do work like that someday!

The turtle is GREAT! That's just how I feel with every yarn over!!!

I'm wondering if you might have too many stitches in the corners Rafter? 3dc chain 2 3dc in same hole? If so then I would NOT do the chain one or two or howevermany you did prior to getting to the corner and leaving the corner..that should straighten it right out and it will be perfect! Looks pretty good now!! You're a quick study!!

...go back up to one of those pictures I posted with the cotton yarn and see my corners, I think there is just a stitch or two too many in yours and then you will have all the kinks worked out.

Your center, I just re-looked at...when you are finihsed with the first 4 sets are you chining up two and turning and then going around?

Look at the videos on you tube..I think you can do a search on youtube for crochet tutorials and check those out...someone said they were really helpful
