Stitch Markers!!! YES! *that's* what I need. I started on my next square and it is already a trapezoid.

I am not sure if I should keep going or give my daughter another bookmark/barbie dress...blanket...stuffed animal collar, etc.

Maybe I can frog it? (it seems like an awful lot to frog though...)

Heh...Ok I think I will start over. I am going to apologize in advance to those of you who may not end up with Scottish sheep wool. It looks like I am going to run out with all my practicing. Fortunately, I now have a source, so future swaps might have some...though maybe you all don't want wool squares that smell like sheep....

Anyway, off to do domestic household things! Hopes for sun for you, Karan, and those of you in the storms.

....my squares wont be that great...but i've done a few of 'um..so i should be okay...they wont be fancy though..be lucky if they are square..lol.....just trying to figure out if i can start making any for the spring swap?..i know i'm a bit early.(no theme yet)..how many do i need to make?..could i make the fall swap?...my mother is an excellent crocheter...maybe she could help me catch up..

I believe that the talk was that hexagons maybe the shape of the spring swap. As far as color or theme I don't know.

Maw or Scrambled may have the answer to that.
And of course the more the merrier.

Maw, I believe counting the packages I have already sent and what I have just finished I have a total of 40 squares done.

So do you need for me to do any more? Let me know.

Leepsy~ Happy Be-lated B-day!

Sorry I missed it! It was my daughter's B-day yesterday. Congratulations on your turkey hatch.

I just love my turkeys. They are so sweet & funny.

Mawchick~ I'm so, so sorry for your favorite hen loss. I know it's so hard. I lost my first hen a few weeks back to internal laying to.

Have you had time to try any of the dishcloth patterns?

Larenleaf~ Thank you so much for the sailboat pattern. I think that's the only pattern I can find on this world wide web to. Unfortunately it looks a bit to complicated for me.

Scooter~ A stitch marker is a device that can hook to your last stitch of unfinished crochet work to keep it in place, so your hard work won't come unraveled. Scrambled made us hookers some out of wire and decorative beads for the spring swap. They are cute, cute, cute!!!! I love mine!

I'll see if I can post a pic for you.

Ronnie~ Hope you come back to chat even if you don't want to do the fall swap. Keep practicing and you'll be a pro hooker for the spring one.

OK, back to cleaning. We have a house guest coming in town on Wed to stay with us.

Scoot, you get a stitch marker too!!! I made everyone a new one, these have lobster claw clasps on them instead of just hooking over the last stitch it will clip and hold it better, and they have a chicken bead on them..made everybody one and 3 squares each..yes, I have OCD!!!

In the spring I will host the swap and the theme will be "Anything Goes! Squares, Triangles & Hexagons" any colors, any patterns and even any size you want and we'll see how that works out. Then Maw will host the Fall swap again and so on and so on....eventually you should have a monster pile of squares if you save them from the swaps!

Sorry about your chicken Maw, I have a favorite too and that would be terrible, so sorry

Has anyone talked to Ronnie? Maybe we should find her and "hook" her into the spring swap, she'll have plenty of time to learn by then.

Well, gotta get supper made, my daughter is home for the day and has to get back to school..later ya'll
