scrambled great collection. I wanted to buy one off ebay but the price got driven up to 58.00 and that just wayyyyy to much for me. But one of these days I will get one started. I have a yarn collection. my first yarn came from my grandmother who crochet during the depression. And I have yarn that was given to her for her birthday back then. I have it sealed up in bags and in a collection case. They look as good now as they did back then, not one bit of wear or tear as she looooovvvvveeeed her yarn and knitting and crocheting, she used to make my mothers and her sisters doll clothes from crocheting.

Alpaca let us know when you get that store of your up and going as I would like buy some of that homespun yarn from ya!

well I can her the girl laughing in their room so I must go be the mean mommy and make them go to sleep!
Bye ya'll have a good night

$58.00!!! Wow, I am absolutley certain that none of mine are more than $20.00, probably more like $15.00 but def. no more than $20.00..wow, that is way too much money for a wooden hook!! Some of ya'll might have clever husbands that can make them for you, I think picking th ewood is the trick. They are smooth and easy to use but they are fatter and I just prefer the smaller aluminum ones to actually work with although I have used the J hooks more than once or twice...guess I just like having them in the jar, loL!!

Have a great day ya'll!!

Try this link. It was very helpful to most of us in the last swap. There is also a YOUTUBE link demo in this thread somewhere. I printed off the pictures w/ directions from the link below to learn how to do the basic granny squares.

This swap we are doing scrap yarn, any pattern as long as you use the same pattern for all of the squares. Oh yea, the squares have to al be 6". Hope this helps!

Let us know if we can help any other way.

I tried the Sunflower pattern while waiting for DD at piano lessons last night. The first one is warped. I'm still having issues deciphering the pattern. Hopefully I'll be able to master it before the swap. I haven't had time to finish the second one.

Yep, I'm using your beautiful stitch marker. It has saved that square from being unraveled by my cat.

Thanks for the compliment, but that square needs lots of work. Thanks goodness we have time.

DD says my petals need to be pointier. It's the popcorn stitch, so if anyone has any suggestions please pass them my way.

I didn't have time to work out the kinks today, b/c it was gorgeous here. About time to. I played in the garden all afternoon. I also took the babies and put them in the ghetto tractor by the garden, so they could get some fresh air.

That is really nice Kim. Where did you get that pattern? I have been looking for a sunfloer pattern. I made one up because I couldnt find a pattern. My petals are the cluster stitch but I wouldnt mind trying thet pattern if its at a link. No need to copy the whole thing for me, that is way to much work.
