Congrats Okiemommy! Geez, I need to tell DH I need another baby so I (um, I mean BABY) can get a special blankie!!

I need to learn to crochet so I can get in on the baby blanket makin' too! You guys are starting to wear me down. I was actually looking at "Learn to Crochet" starter kits at Wally World last night! I didn't buy, cause I have no clue what any of it means!!

Queen Scoot I am so very sorry to hear that your DH is in the hospital.

If it is MRSA then if they get him started on some strong antiboctics and keep everyone and everything cleaned and germ free for a while he will be ok. My brother has had to deal with that. His was on his neck below his jaw and had one on the back of his head. Looked like an angry goose egg under the skin. It can be serious if they don't treat it with the right meds. But I am sure he has some very good Dr's there looking out for him. I will put him in my prayers, along with you and the kids.

Please take care and let us know how he is doing.

Newchick there are web sites that also can help you learn crochet. SE or Maw may remember what they are. I know that they have been mentioned back a few times on this thread. And once ya get going it will get easier and easier.

Well gals I forgot to mention that it had started snowing here about 1:30 pm and it stopped about 10pm we got just over an inch of the white stuff out there.
I am going to head back to bed and crochet the rest of my circle I may even start 1 more before I turn in.

We got rain drizzles for Thanksgiving. Last year, we got snow for it, and we got it for Easter too. lol
Wait on me for that pattern, cause if I got it from you now, I'd shove one of my so-called 1/2 done projects aside. lol That, and I wanna make sure someone else tries it and tells me how hard it is lol

Lynda, tht yard and set up with your chickens is awesome, very nice!!

Jennifer, crocheting is such a good stress reliever and it's easier to throw the afghans ont he couch than bury the bodies if you have NO stress reliever so get the hook and the book kit and we'll teach you to make granny squares, you can get in teh spring swap and you'll have a stack of squares of your very own to make something with...we have twisted stronger arms than yours, lol!!!

Shanah's spider is a thank you for that lucky, lucky, lucky Ms. Vroom helping Travis win the points championship!!!! Yeah!!! And Maw's wreath is one of my cork projects as a thank you for her efforts with hosting this swap. I was playing around with something royal and made an ornament for the Queen too but she is having computer snafuus so not sure if she can post a pic or not...let me just say that our glass chess set is missing apiece, lol!! Oh, and I do have your addresses, thanks to Maw so never know if something wild and crazy might show up at your door, I am crazy like that you know!!!

My puppy is good, small scar and stitches on her tummy. They did not feed her all day yesterday so we got her a hamburger patty on the way home last night and gave her the pain med and she was really groggy most of the evening. She woke up pretty lively this morning but wore herself out I think, gave her the med again with some food and she is sleeping now. Guess she'll sleep all day tomorrow while everyone is at work..at least that is one day the trash cans wont be knocked over and scattered through the house!!! She is a bit hyper when she feels good, lol!

Nie to see so many posts on this thread everyday, love the chatty hookers!! Hope you are feeling better Steph!! Bonnie, that moda dea tweedle dee yarn is the nicest wool blend, big fat yarn, makes me wonder if that is what spun alpaca would be like to work with?

Good morning all! Got the plastic up on the barn with lots of help from my grandson. He is 17 and really would rather have spent his Saturday doing something else I am sure. He did a great job, so hopefully it won't blow off this year. Cleaned the bunnies, fed alpacas, shovelled poop, then headed hope to collapse!!! There was very little snow here at home but out at the farm there was about 3 feet behind the barn.

Scoot, I am so sorry to hear about your husband. Sending prayers your way.

Darlene I am glad your puppy did well. A couple of days of rest and she will be back to tearing up the trash again

The baby squares sound good - have some baby yarn from a project I never got started. A Thanksgiving trip sounds good too - anyone want to swing by Cleveland to pick me up? I can bring pumpkin roll.

Well, I guess I better go going - back to work tomorrow.

Bettter do some laundry so I have something to wear. Then I can work on my Christmas projects.
