None of our horses have shoes on. Unless we decide to take them to a parade, then we'll dress them up. Me and my family just ride around our property (about 70 acres). I can put my Morgan, oldest daughter, on Cici and she'll be absolutly fine, then I'll bring Jacob with me on Bruce and Sam will take Cassidy and we'll just ride around for hours. We usually ride every Saturday afternoon and Sundays after church and random days during the week. This weekend we'll get to try out the new clydesdales, which I am thrilled about

omg, samtheman, you have the cutest horses ever!!! I absoloutely LOVE ginger!!!

CarriBrown, what level eventing did u do?

My TB has only front shoes. before he had back shoes too but his back feet are healthy so we decided to take them off.

I used to raise and train Paso Finos and Miniature Horses and now living in the city, I had to sell them all but missed them!

I used to ride dressage and western pleasure and trail riding was my favorite. Did a few endurance rides on both of my Pasos and did well in them.

My neice now wants a horse and wants to keep it in the garage LOL and I dont the city would allow that LOL! There is ALOT more than just putting a horse in the garage in a stall and you must clean, feed and ride or excercise daily! Nothing like a bored horse that would literally tear up your stall LOL!

I have a Quarab, Dante's Inferno - my spoiled old baby, an adopted Mustang,Destiny- lazy & mellow, another Quarab,Diva, She's a pinto and always getting into trouble and then there's Dakota, our palomino appy mini stallion. He's a hoot. I am training all of them to drive and Dante does all types of tricks I taught him. I use the two bigger horses as trail horses, but they are all really pets.

here are our horses:
J.D. - bombproof 15 year old QH
Gator - retired 25 year old QH
Mojo- 12 year old Missouri Fox Trotter
Gypsy - sly 20-something pony
Chuck - 19 year old QH
Petey - my 12 year old TB

I ride both Eglish and Saddleseat... I do barn work... How do I manage without my own horse? Good question. I often ask that too.
