BYC Equestrian Club

I have a 6 yo Appy that is Showmanship Deluxe - WP and starting to drive. I also have a 5 yr old mini donkey that does nothing but look cute. I started on Speed Events as a kid, then moved on to huntseat and some hunter (I really hated OF Classes) then bought a Saddlebred who had no clue what huntseat was so I had to learn Saddleseat. Loved riding Saddleseat!!! It was a real change to go to a level headed Appy after that :)

I have loved horses as long as I can remember. I got my first pony when I was 12 years old. My parents were not able to provide riding lessons for me so I learned from trial and error. That was 30 years ago... and I've learned a lot and love horses just the same. I enjoy seeing everyone's horses. They are all so beautiful.

My girl Misty. She was born here and I pulled her out of her birth sack. I owned her mother for 14 years.

horse crazy-Thanks! That was from my H/J days. PN for me. How about you? Its hard to get spare time now that I'm in college, so I don't get to ride as much as Id like, but Im no where near giving it up.

envirogirl12-Stormy is a chocolate palomino or dark chocolate with a flax mane and tial, depending on who you ask. Turi is just a dark bay with a flax mane and tail, and Halim has the flaxen coloring too, its just hard to make it out. Registered Kentucky Mountain Horses have to be "of a solid color"...bay, black, chestnut/sorrel, roan, gray cremello, buckskin, palomino, and chocolate. Anyway, its called those solid colors, but their manes and tails tend to be flaxen.

Petey is doing ok. He has been lame so I took him to the equine medical center and they took x-rays and turns out his soles are very thin so now he has pads and wedges on his feet, along with 60 days of just walk to let the soles regrow to an appropriate length.

We have a rescued OTT Tb, an appy/welsh mix who looks like a mustang! LOL!, a grulla QH mix, and a fleabitten QH. All are gelding except the grulla and she's as marish as they come!
