Very pretty. I'll enjoy vicariously because I'm trying to come up to speed on vegetable gardening.

That is not a little snake. We've seen a few long ones this year too. We had so much rain early on that the hay field grew up thick and quick which brought out the snakes, or so it seemed. They don't bother me. I'd rather have them than the mice.
Your gladiolas are beautiful, but I really like that $6 basket too.
The cuttings I do are rooted in a 2-3" pots before I transfer them to the planting beds. I plant them in the fall and by shipping time in the spring they would be rooted. I'm thinking I would wrap them in went paper towels and send them priority mail. They should make it just fine. I've ordered some from nurseries in the past and that's they shipped them to me. I just thought it would be a cool way for people to get varieties of plants for less money than going to Lowe's or Home Depot and spending $15 a plant.@bwalden
I tried a seed exchange with GardenWeb. I got some really good seeds and some that did not germinate at all. I have never tried a plant exchange. How well do the cuttings hold up in the mail? I think there may be some sort of an exchange on here but it is not limited to seeds. I am not sure of the thread name though...
Tonight I went out and cut some suckers off the tomatoes and buried some chopped banana peels by them. Supposedly that will help with the potassium? The internet said it, so it must be true.I do have a few tiny tomatoes on the largest plant.![]()
I also took a bin of soapy water and dropped some beetles into it. My poor green bean leaves look like living lace.![]()
My grandma uses banana peels around her roses for that purposeOf course, if it's on the Internet it's true. Same for the newspaper. Or your Congressperson. Or neighbor.Something' making my green bean leaves look swollen and curled a little. Gotta figure it out.![]()
