Quote: That was Dan's pic. I was just letting him know it was beautiful.
I do not have any Gladiolas I think they are very pretty. I even bought some for my daughters.
Here is a pic of one of my beds planted with bulbs. I need to thin my beds out again the bulbs are so packed it's crazy.
Just starting to bloom.
Well the sunflowers are sprouts the pigs missed when the were in that area in Jan/Feb and somehow managed not to die. (We feed them sunflower and wheat fodder among other things.) The glads came up about the beginning of Feb, when the ducks were in their brooder inside the barn I'd pour the duck water on them and they went crazy. You can tell where I poured the water and where I didn't, the plants that got the duck water are about 6'' taller than the others. Also its been in the 60s and 80s since about the middle of Feb. I'm sorry. How do you get flowers so big so early ??? It will be 80F today here, but I just woke up and I see frost on the car windshield !
It is cray. so warm during the day and then cold nights. No wonder I don't have any flowers yet and my veggies art tiny![]()
Gladiolas...I have started planting those last year. Send us pic when it blooms. Thanks for sharing flower pics!!!

Oh, that one is thick. I just thinned one patch of mine and spread around chicken pen. So it will bloom white next year. All my bulbs are planted 3 yrs or less. Am going to use all over my new place. That was Dan's pic. I was just letting him know it was beautiful. I do not have any Gladiolas I think they are very pretty. I even bought some for my daughters. I have to thin my dads daffodils and paper whites, I don't think they've been properly thinned in about 10 years, plus they're starting to take over the yard.Oh, that one is thick. Oh, I'm sorry. That's the thing, 75% of them don't flower they're too crowded. I dug up about 20 awhile back and I planted them in a semicircle around the mailbox, they'll be real pretty in a year or too.Dan26552,
Daffodils were some of my moms favorites. Before I sold her place, we all dug up as many flowers and bushes as we could. The daffodils I dug up & replanted did not make it. I will bet they are pretty when they bloom at your place, so thick.
