Got 21 asparagus crowns at TSC for about 4 dollars altogether. 

I have been buying up plants and bulbs. Loews had bulbs for 75% off. I bought up a bunch of stuff. We also have been buying up plants on the cheap.

Me too, Lowes, Walmart, TSC all have bulbs on sale. I got two amaryllis's today for $1 each.

I have a beautiful Amarillys that I paid 50 cents for 3 years ago. It blooms well each year, and each year, the blossoms become more spectacular. It has a baby bulb that I really should harvest and pot up so it can produce a new plant.

That's awesome! One of my mom's friends said she'd give me a bunch of amaryllis seeds she'd saved from her plants this year.

That should be interesting, b/c I bet they don't breed true. You might get some different colors. Bet it takes about 3 years to reach blooming size.
