Cityfarm, to post a photo, click on the button above the text editing window that shows a landscape (left of the piece of film), the wizard should be pretty straight forward from there.

Yeah, I do that.. Acctaully I have to use my phone to take the photo's & post.. Then I go on the iPad to repost or edit..
Only sometimes will the blog allow me to post a photo. The iPad does not take photos...

This is cuban oregano from @Gallo del Cielo. I have tried just water, dirt, water than root hormone into dirt. Niw with no success i cut off the spot above the dead part & going with just root hormone. It has the best smell. Praying for success. .

Interesting regarding the honey for rooting cuttings. Follow up question for anyone who's in an experimental frame of mind: Is it truly the honey that causes faster rooting, or is it because of the sugar? Any one want to try honey, and a similar solution with sugar?

Yeah. I'd try it but I'm not home and can't do it :/ maybe next year.

Honey was used on wounds in ancient times . Germs , mold will not grow in it . I suspect the sugars help but keeping the wound free of decay is its biggest help .

But is that true for pasteurized honey (the mould bacteria part)?
I'll try the honey vs sugar thing out, as my dog crushed a bunch of my tomatoes seedlings and trying to root the salvageable bits is all I can do to save these plants...
