Yep, hose with a spray diffuser here.

There is, however, an ancient 1-gallon metal can out in the garage (so homely it could be the Tinman's underwear) used for mixing up fish emulsion in for spot fertilization. I got it from the folks' estate and I do believe it was utilized just about forever... well, several score, at least, as I seem to remember it from my childhood.

The only time I use a can, is when I'm using liquid fertilizer. I have one that must be at least 10 years old, 2 gal. Heavy plastic, and seems to be indestructible.

Lately I have planted corn, strawberries, radishes, onions, peas, and peppers. Although, the peppers are not likely to grow.
