I got my American Plum trees today! Now I have to make sure the weather is good to plant them outside.

They look dormant so I would plant them . Here in Illinois it is warm enough to plant dormant trees . Alabama should be warm enough .

Been planting dormant trees since fall and I still haven planted them all

those are more then fine to plant// I planted about 10 dormant trees and shrubs this winter and all have started budding, so many little flowers forming. I grow all my bareroot trees in a pot for the first year or two then into the ground. I get a lot more growth. I have some white cherry trees planted in ground and in a pot both planted the same day and they were the same size, the one in the pot is 5 foot tall now and the ones in the ground are barely 30 inches.

I am considering getting some plum trees/ I want a couple paw paw trees///

I'm still watching my local 10 day forecast, they are still predicting some random nighttime lows of 33 °and 34° that is good enough for me to turn off the heaters in the livestock watering tanks for now but not warm enough for me to risk planting anything that will get nipped by frost... We still risk the mid March or early April 24-48 hour blizzard

I am ready for spring. But why in the heck are we getting temps in the 80's already? I want my 70's spring time weather.
