I planted a Black Satin thornless blackberry about 4 years ago and I have been very disappointed in it. It has no flavor at all. I have had to go back to picking the wild blackberries in the pasture. I let the squirrels and birds have the thornless. But I have to get to the wild ones before the cows eat them all.

I tamed some wild blackberry bushes, they're covered in flower buds this year

That's awesome Dan. We have them all over our property we just have to pick them before the cows eat them. lol

I fertilized my fruit trees Thurs. but I could not do my plum tree as it was also in bloom.

I love your pics Dan!

Yeah! I'm so excited!! I haven't had a home grown plum in years. Nice! Theres a wild plum too but it hasn't flowered yet.

Nice, ah.

Thanks :)

Quote: Sounds like us. Our plum tree is out by the road and the squirrels and birds get all the plums every year! I tried bringing some in early to finish ripening but they don't taste ripe.
I want to get some bird netting to put over it but the squirrels will eat right through it.
