Sounds like us. Our plum tree is out by the road and the squirrels and birds get all the plums every year! I tried bringing some in early to finish ripening but they don't taste ripe.
I want to get some bird netting to put over it but the squirrels will eat right through it.
My problem isn't squirrels, I'm just not home when they ripen. Ah, sounds like a plan

The pears are blooming here in central Alabama and our plums and peaches are blooming. The peaches are just coming out. Beware the blackberry winter!!!

I am also in central AL. and have some blooming fruit trees. My young trees that I planted a couple years ago have just started to leaf out.
I have a peach tree that is stunted it has not grown since I planted it and has not bloomed or anything other than leaves.
I have fertilized it the same as the others but it does not do anything.

I got several quarts of wild blackberries the last couple years, and a couple quarts of wild dewberries. while searching for berries on my property I even found 1 wild blueberry plant last year/ I hope I can find it again my cherry trees have flowers this morning and so does my almond

I planted two blueberry plants late last year that I picked up on end of season clearance, I was hoping to get something in the coming years but the dog had other plans for at least one of the plants so far... Went out there last week and it was broken off at ground level.. Chances are it should re-sprout but that sets things back... I took the broken of parts and I'm hoping I can get them to propagate into new bushes, so far so good with that as the cuttings are budding but it's way too soon to see if they root...

I also like clearance plantsd. I worked in a green house for a short time and when ever they threw out plants we were allowed to get anything we wanted. That was nice.

MeepBeep I hope your blueberry plants roots and your other one comes back.
